travel journal - vancouver (day 3)

Got up early in the morning and saw this from my hotel window...

I had a wedding to shoot during the afternoon, so not a lot to blog about for the 3rd day.  However, I didn't waste anytime and spent a nice morning at Medina Cafe with my family.  They are well known for their waffles and you could see how they make it from the front window.

mmm... coffee!

Game time.  Of course.

Free Range Egg

Fricasse - 2 fried eggs on braised short ribs, roasted potatoes, caramelized onions, arugula and smoked applewood cheddar and grilled foccacia

This is my dish.  Les Boulettes - 2 poached eggs, spicy Moroccan meatballs, cilantro, hummus cucumber tomato salad and grilled foccacia.  It. Was. So. Goooood!!

Medina Cafe is well known for their waffles.  We, of course, ordered some to try.  We tried toppings like dark chocolate, milk chocolate lavender and fig orange marmalade.
