I first discovered and fell in love with Tom Palumbo's work was when I spotted an image of Miles Davis - the piece of glass, the reflection, Miles Davis' smile and the smoke from his cigarette. From the reflection, you can figure out what he was staring at - a window, perhaps. Palumbo's personal works are very candid, natural and often very intimate, while his professional works are more staged like. Although not dramatic, but he carefully planned and composed his images, which everything is framed perfectly. As you look at the images below, you might notice yourself staring at them longer than usual. And when your eyes finally leave an image, you'll realize you've been gasping all along. See more from his website and flickr pages (sadly, both sites haven't been updated after his death in 2008).
