[TRAVEL] Portland, OR - day 2

Continue from Day 1... :: Day TWO ::

We started our second day bright and early.  The weather was exceptionally beautiful after much rain the day before.  First stop - Broder, a Swedish restaurant.  Sally, the little ones and I met up with Chelsea and Joke + her boy at 9am, all ready for some yummy breakfast.  Danish Pancakes were AMAZING!  I had the Wild Mushroom & Caramelized Onion Baked Scrambles, which was good.  What's even better, though, was the Potato Pancakes that came along.  mm-mm-yum.....!

After breakfast, we stopped by Pearl Bakery to pick up some pastries for our visit to Japanese Garden and Pittock Mansion.  Their pastries were so good that I remember overhearing my mom said to my dad, "Let's move to Portland" after her first bite of the chocolate croissant.

For dinner, we went to Screen Door for some Southern comfort food.  Sally took me there last time and I couldn't get over their mashed potatoes and banoffee, so I requested for it again.  The wait was long and Sally took us to Heart Coffee Roasters for a coffee break.  After an hour wait, all of us were happily eating some of the best southern food - BBQ Ribs, Mac-N-Cheese, Sweet Potato Fries, Fried Okra, Mashed Potatoes and Banoffee.
