After weeks of being sick, I'm happy to finally be back to hanging out with Miss V and friends over this past Memorial Day weekend.
Saturday, Joy and I met up for dim sum and doughnuts (read her write up). After we parted, I realized an Argentinian deli that a friend took me to years ago was just across the street. Of course, I had to stop by and pick up some chicken and beef empanadas!
On Sunday, Miss V and I had a full day of Mommy/Daughter fun with Elizabeth and sweet Elodie. We started the day with breakfast at La Mill (12 pcs of doughnut holes + grilled peanut butter & chocolate were the highlights). Then we spent most of the day at The Getty Center visiting Paris: Life & Luxury exhibition, strolling around the garden, picnic on the lawn and watching our kids ran around. A mommy/daughter date wouldn't be complete without ice cream in the end and that's exactly what we did.
Monday was Memorial Day and I hope you had a wonderful time with family and friends! For me, I first went to brunch at Salts Cure with Miss V, Joy and Jen. We pretty much ordered most of everything on the menu (morning bun and griddle cakes were our favorites) and our bellies were full and happy. Since I promised Miss V I'd take her to bowling, we went to Round 1 for the first time (a friend recommended it). Wow, the place is perfect for families with kids because it has bowling, arcade games, karaoke, ping pong... and we easily spent few hours there (my favorite is the photobooth, so much fun!). We ended our lovely long weekend with Krispy Kreme doughnuts and that was perfect.
